Physicist, Secret Agent

After getting her Physics PhD from the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Marzipan was hired at CERN, as an experimental Physicist, helping to build the Large Hadron Collider.

Marzipan was instrumental in foiling the Eupraxian government's plan to destroy the Hadron Collider, codenamed Operation Forever Fre$h (OFF). She achieved this with the help of her best friends and their band, The Standard Model, as well as the resistance movement, of which her parents were members.

Marzipan has revealed that she suffered from burnout and PTSD after the OFF affair, which played a part in her decision to return to Eupraxia.

She settled in Isdo, Eupraxia's largest city and her birthplace, and was hired by Integrated Power Solutions, Eupraxia's main provider of nuclear fusion energy. She found her role as experimental physicist for the power company fulfilling, although a personality conflict with her boss and a general desire to work independently, caused ambivalence.

After one year with IPS, Marzipan was recruited by the Allied Cultures of Eupraxia (ACE) Covert Operations Division (COD), which is tasked with gathering intelligence from other planets which may pose a threat to Eupraxia, as well as to study alien civilzations that has technology or resources that may benefit Eupraxia. Ambivalent about becoming a spy yet eager for a change from her status quo, and intrigued by possibility of an exciting mission, Marzipan accepted their offer. She started the training camp in mid-5803, and successfully completed the course in six months.

After two years, Marzipan retired as a secret agent. She has said that she felt that was the maximum time she could devote to being a spy as it was such an intense and all-consuming experience. She described her two years with COD as "life-changing.”

Author, Producer

Contemplating her next move, Marzipan decided to write a memoir about her years as a secret agent. She had always been interested in writing, and wanted to communicate the profound experiences she had exploring alien civilizations and planets. She finished the book in under a year and it was published in 834.14:6 Ankô. It was titled "Spaced Out."

"Spaced Out" was an instant success and rocketed to the bestseller lists, including 25 adůcs atop the Isdo Times. Fans of the book were fascinated by her accounts of alien worlds, and many no doubt read the book for its somewhat scandalous revelations about the inner workings of ACE-COD. Marzipan became famous overnight, and made the rounds of Eupraxia's most popular talk shows. She has said she was uncomfortable with the fame and has gone to great lengths to keep her personal life private, despite intense interest from fans.

Speculation began almost immediately about TV or film adaptations. News broke in 835.07:1 Dīn that it would be produced as a TV series by independent media company XYZ, with Marzipan serving as an executive producer.

The series premiered in 5813 and became a huge hit. Now in its third season, it has won numerous accolades and made a breakout star of newcomer Ikea Moon, who plays Marzipan.

Entrepreneur

After twoo seasons Marzipan stepped back from her role as Executive Producer on "Spaced Out," in order to devote herself full-time to her entrepreneurial ventures. She self-funded a state-of-the-art laboratory which has launched several products, including an app which allows users to store physical items in the cloud, as well as an energy drink, Marzipan Fizz (which may or may not cause floating), and a fragrance called Forever Marzipan. Additional products and services are reportedly in the pipeline.
